I like this document. Would suggest at least one example (or link to example) for each construct. Re the OWL/RDF triple relationship: > An OWL knowledge base is a collection of RDF triples as defined in > the RDF Model and Syntax Specification. This is easy to mis-read. An OWL knowledge base is a collection of RDF triples as restricted by this document. Reading this one might assume that a collection of OWL triples honors the RDF requirements for collections of triples. RDF imposes restrictions that OWL relaxs (e.g. subclassof loops, single range and domain constraint, ...). OWL imposes restriction that RDF does not (e.g. list first/rest sequences terminated by NIL). Many collections of RDF triples are not given a meaning by the OWL semantics exactly because they do not conform to the restrictions listed in this document. > OWL prescribes a specific > meaning for triples that use the OWL vocabulary. This document > specifies which collections of RDF triples constitute the OWL > vocabulary and what the prescribed meaning of such triples is. Normally I think of vocabulary as lexical. We are specifying the triples that constitute the OWL language (or one representation of it). - Mike Michael K.
