To help those people who don't wish to read the whole document again, here is the list of major changes since the version available last Wednesday night... 2.1 Web Portals - cited DMOZ as an example of an ontology based portal (Connolly, Feb. 21) 2.2 Image Collections - changed to "multimedia collections" (Stein, Feb. 20) 2.6 Ubiquitous Computing - added a few sentences from Ora Lassila and Ned Smith (Lassila, Feb. 21; Smith Feb. 23) 4. Requirements - Ontologies as distinct resources: changed definition (per telecon) - Unambiguous term referencing with URIs: changed URI to URI reference (per telecon) - Ability to state closed worlds: demoted to an Objective (I didn't receive Frank's new wording until after I had already published the document. Should I add this before Thursday?) - Associating properties with statements: changed to "attaching information to statements" and given new definition (per telcon and Hayes) - Classes as instances: added Guus Schreiber's orangutan example to help clarify the problem (Schreiber, Feb. 22) - Lexical representations: changed definition (per telecon, Carroll) 5. Objectives - Integration of digital signatures: no action taken, still awaiting wording from Dan Connolly (telecon) In addition to the changes above, there were minor editorial fixes throughout the document from Lynn Stein (Feb. 20) and Guus Schreiber (Feb. 22) Jeff
