Here's some input for item of the agenda: > 5) LANG working drafts (6-10 min.) > > Short discussion on public comments received sofar. The following is my summary of the reactions so far (see [1] for the full exchanges) - a request for a way to state a local "unique names assumption" (which is indeed on our requirements list) - a request for a way in which an ontology can contain its own identifier (which is not currently on our issue list) - a request for a way to annotate individual statements with authorship, and not only entire ontologies. This is already on our issue list. - a request for human-readable/multi-lingual labels for identifiers (which is already on our issue list) - two comments that OWL Lite seems to sit well with the requirements for data-integration use-cases, plus a request to move hasValue from Full OWL to OWL Lite based on experience in such use cases. - a conclusion that the omission of Nothing from OWL Lite was an error (since it can already be expressed anyway). - two comments asking for better indication of differences between RDFS, OWL Lite, Full OWL and DAML+OIL, plus more justification of the choices for these differences. - a clarification/bug-fix concerning lists/collections Frank. ---- [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webont-comments/2002Aug/thread.html
