Short Biography Ruediger Klein

Rüdiger Klein is a senior researcher in the R&T department at DaimlerChrysler. 
He received a Diploma in Physics in 1975 
with honors from Humboldt University in Berlin. In 1979 he finished his Ph.D. 
thesis at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin
in the field of high energy physics.
1984 he changed his field of interest to knowledge based systems. He was a 
researcher and project leader in various KBE projects 
at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin. 1991 Rüdiger Klein joint Daimler-Benz 
Research (today DaimlerChrysler) in Berlin. 
His main fields of interest are 
-  ontologies, 
-  knowledge modeling and formal knowledge representation, 
-  especially in the area of engineering.
