Last call working draft of SSML 1.1 now available for reivew

The Voice Browser Working Group has released the Last Call Working Draft
of Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) Version 1.1. SSML 1.0
provides an XML-based markup language for assisting the generation of
synthetic speech in Web and other applications. SSML 1.1 improves on
W3C's SSML 1.0 by adding support for more conventions and practices of
the world's languages including Asian, Eastern European, and Middle
Eastern languages.

The SSML 1.1 working draft document is located at
http://www.w3.org/TR/speech-synthesis11/
<http://www.w3.org/TR/speech-synthesis11/>. We welcome the public to
review this document and send their comments to www-voice@w3.org. As a
"last call", this will be the public's last chance to comment on SSML
1.1 before it becomes a full W3C recommendation. The deadline for
comments is 20 July 2008.
