Thank you for your response. If we correct the <meta> as per your suggestion, it got cleared in Nu Html Checker, but it failed with W3C Markup Validation Service (https://validator.w3.org), refer following errors. Also attached the same file here.

I would like to add that, we have to produce XHTML format file as per our filing compliance, hence we would need to keep DOCTYPE declaration with "XHTML 1.0 Transitional". If we keep required DOCTYPE, our file getting cleared with https://validator.w3.org, the concern now is with "Nu Html Checker" where one of our clients validating through it and reporting error.

<meta charset="utf-8"/>

It validates all good. Would that work for you?

Error : Bad value content-type for attribute http-equiv on XHTML element meta.

We couldn't observe any issue with <meta> tag in the attached xhtml file, please help us understanding, why "Nu Html Checker" giving above error.
