Respected Sir, I, Amit Mangla, am the final year student of the MCA programme from the ITS (Institute of Technology & science), Mohan Nagar, Ghaziabad. As part of the MCA programme(VIth semester) I'm doing my training in the Synapsis Software India Private Ltd., Noida and I've been assigned the following task. The Problem domain is: Need an Internet Explorer (IE) plug-in to do user name and password management with the following functionality: 1.User name and password information are stored in a comma delimited text file. 2.Automatically fill-in username and password whenever user browses to a web site that needs authentication. 3.Note that authentication request can appear in a pop-up, embedded on a web page, etc. Don't use cookie mechanism. 4.Automatically add a new account entry into the password file whenever the user registers for a new account. 5. A simple interface(via new IE tools bar) allowing the user to manually add and delete entries. 6. On the first invocation of the auto-fill-in function, the plug-in requires the user to enter a master password. On the subsequent uses (either in the same IE window or in one or more others IE windows), entering of the master password is not required 7.Operating environment: windows 2k,XP. 8.Anyone of these Programming Language: C, C++, C#, Java. Steps To simplify the task: 1.Write a simple plug in to IE, which shows a popup text every time IE is opened. 2.Write a plug in to add a menu under Tools option in IE- "Password Options” 3.Show a dialog when this menu is selected. 4.Take user name, password and the URL name from the user. Store in a local file. 5.When a URL is opened, take the user name and password entries and populate the fields in the HTML page. Sir, all this is new to me and I know nothing about this. Can you please guide me where I can get the stuff relating to it. There are lots of plug-ins are available in the net. But there is nothing in general. Please Don't ignore this. Yours Sincerely Amit Mangla amit_mangla13@yahoo.co.in Yahoo! India Matrimony: Find your partner online.
