Olivier, get amaya, start it, take any page on www.w3.org, change the doctype in amaya to XHTML 1.1, fix the parsing errors that amya shows, save the page, try to validate and you'll see. You can reproduce it. Therefor, I haven't attached a page. The page that triggered the report was transformed to XHTML 1.0 strict inbetween and tweaked with a text editor to remedy the xlink-stuff to make the validator happy. Synchronisation means communication between the validator-team and the amaya-team to fix those issues. It isn't too simple, but at least the dialog should start now.
