I think it would be most helpful if the people who find the error
messages confusing/lacking in user friendlyness would actually post
the exact error message and also include a new suggested text.
The people most likely to phrase the messages 'better' may not be the
people who work on the validator.
Give them some input, instead of merely waving your hands and saying
it's not understandable for "normal" people... :-)
(I'm not suggesting you go through all the error messages one by one -
probably a lot of work, just that you post your suggestion whenever
you encounter an error message you think could be better).
