Media handheld bug?

When validating my page, I get the following error.

Line: 0 Context : body
Invalid number : background-colorProperty background-color doesn't exist 
for media h : black

in HTML, this CSS file is included using:
	<link rel="stylesheet" href="style/small-news.css" type="text/css" 
media="handheld" />
	<link rel="stylesheet" href="style/articles.css" type="text/css" 
media="screen,projection,tv" />

The stylesheet for "screen,projection,tv" is valid
but the one for handheld is not recoqnized.. the validator claims it as 
media "h" instead of "handheld".
