Multiple HTML documents in one stream?

Hi,

Are multiple html documents allowed in a single stream?  The reason I ask 
is that I've come across a URL (<http://perl.apache.org/guide/all.html>) 
that does just that.  They've simply combined multiple HTML docs into a 
single file and made that addressable with a single URL.  Is this 
legal/defined?
