SVG new proposed charter

I note that a proposed charter for new SVG work is currently being voted on by the A.C.:

http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/2014/charter <http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/2014/charter>

The charter calls for “An API, compatible with DOM (Document Object Model), for using script to view, add, remove, or change the elements and attributes of the DOM tree, to handle interactivity, and to provide special functionality, through a set of events and methods.”

…which seems aligned with the Extensible Web thinking.

Also notable to Mozilla and Opera will co-chair.

1. Do we have any comments on this charter we’d like to register with the chairs / staff contacts?
2. Assuming the charter is approved, I suggest we should offer our support with design of the API
