There's been a vigorous discussion about the "acct" scheme and whether it is well enough defined, useful enough, etc. to warrant a permanent scheme registration. I don't think www-tag is going to resolve this issue registration -- the process is being followed and the expert reviewer has noted acceptance of the scheme. However, what might be productive for the TAG to consider: The IRI working group in the IETF (http://tools.ietf.org/wg/iri/ ) is trying to finalize an update http://tools.ietf.org/wg/iri/draft-ietf-iri-4395bis-irireg/ to "Guidelines and Registration Procedures for New URI/IRI Schemes". Please look at the criteria given for new schemes, and indicate if you think there are changes necessary, either as email to the working group mailing list (public-iri@w3.org) or in the issue tracker: http://trac.tools.ietf.org/wg/iri/trac/ . Would you want to loosen or tighten the criteria for utility or definition? Larry -- http://larry.masinter.netReceived on Sunday, 24 June 2012 22:13:00 UTC
