Alistair Croll speculates [1] on Twitter's possible efforts to rewrite/redirect links included in Tweets by using the t.co [2] URL shortener. Any URL shortener is to some degree in conflict with AWWW's advice on URI aliases [3]. Maybe or maybe not, as speculated in another presentation by Alistair, URLs are the new cookies. Anyway, I think it would be good for the TAG to keep an eye on the growing use of URL shorteners.
