Hello, about still problematic path rendering issues: >There was some discussion recently on Line caps drawing on zero > length lines > > jeff schiller argued it was pointless, dr olaf said it was needed I think, it might help some readers to have a link to the implementation notes (for example: 'for details see F.5') for stroke-linecap and stroke-linejoin. The reason for previous problems was maybe, that it was not expected to find the normative behaviour of zero length segments in an appendix, just reading the definitions of the properties. On the other hand, many readers might not need details directly within the property definition, therefore such an additional link looks like a good solution (as it is already available for the marker with the related directionality problem). Oh - and just because there was already a discussion (for example with Cameron) and there seem to be problems to get the correct direction for problematic path segments (if points or control points coincide) - maybe it could help to provide some hints in the appendix about this as well - if there is an interest I can try to provide an explanation what the simple result of a mathematical proof is, I did some time ago ... Another question is, whether it might help implementors to give a hint as well about the applicability of a stroke-linejoin, if a cusp/corner appears within a cubic path segment... Olaf
