Hi, The issue in nutshell is that animation properties are not intended to be changed, but value of the currentColor can be animated. Björn Höhrmann has discussed the usage of currentColor in animations in two mails: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-svg/2005Dec/0137.html http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-svg/2006Aug/0009.html and I didn't find any reply or resolution to the issues in the mailing list. Our solution for the issue would be that the animated value of the currentColor is used for computing the animation when it starts. Changing the currentColor after the animation has started won't affect the animation anymore. Is there some language in the specification that would make this implementation illegal? Conformance tests animate-elem-84-t and animate-elem-85-t use the currentColor in both from and to attributes.
