http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=4895 Summary: base64 encoding does not allow whitespace Product: SVG Version: SVG 1.1 Full Platform: All URL: http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Test/20061213/htmlObjectH arness/full-filters-blend-01-b.html OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Conformance Criteria AssignedTo: schepers@w3.org ReportedBy: longsonr@gmail.com QAContact: www-svg@w3.org extraneous whitespace is not valid in base64 encoding (see http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2397 or more specifically http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2396 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390126), thus it is legitimate for browsers to refuse to display the image in the testcase although many do. It would be best if the whitespace was simply removed from the href to avoid such issues.
