Thanks for getting back to me, even when almost two years later. :-) I saw the change in the spec. back when the WG resolved on it. Reasons for putting the color value at the beginning is outlined in the Mozilla bug I referred to earlier, though I somewhat agree that this change may not make sense for everybody.
