The word "using" seems to be superfluous in the first sentence of http://www.w3.org/TR/css-counter-styles-3/#additive-system . (Quote: 'The additive counter system is used to represent "sign-value" numbering systems, which, rather than using reusing digits in different positions to change their value, define additional digits with much larger values, so that the value of the number can be obtained by adding all the digits together.')
