I agree. Even if Tantek has very good points, we can't forget that
our only goal is the interoperability of the feature across browsers
*for the web author and users*. In that light, making sure the two only
formats currently accepted by all existing implementations are accepted
by all future implementations seems to me A Good Thing.
We could also say that all formats supported as a source for <img>
should be usable as a cursor.
