I noticed the #alt-property was removed quietly sometime in the last couple months. Can someone point me to the reason why? There was ongoing discussion through mid-November in the following two threads, but nothing I can see definitively that would warrant removal. Are there any other places I should look for the reasoning? Subject lines: - please make sure pseudo-element "alt" property makes it into next ED - How do you solve a problem like alt? Since #alt-property been removed, what is the replacement solution for the original problems? Problem 1: content: "\25BA"; /* No way to mark generated content as decorative (alt: ""). */ Problem 2: content: "\25BA"; /* No way to provide a localized alternative for generated icon fonts. */ Thanks for any answers you can provide, James Craig PS. Please keep me in the To: or Cc: of replies.
