To make this more concrete: I've attached a testcase that exercises this behavior on the Mozilla bug report for this: https://bug972595.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8375834 * Presto (Opera 12.16) and IE do the right thing there (showing no red, and making the second box nice and wide. * Firefox & Chrome do the wrong thing (showing red on the first box, and incorrectly squishing the second box).
