Specifically, this part of the text: any consecutive sequence of ruby annotations and inter-annotation white space not parented by a ruby annotation container is wrapped in an anonymous ruby annotation container The definition of "inter-annotation white space", per step 5, is "anonymous ruby annotation containing only white space ...". The only way to get an anonymous ruby annotation is from step 3, and requires a ruby annotation container parent. Therefore there cannot be any inter-annotation whitespace which is not parented by a ruby annotation container. Is the error in step 6 (in that it should just talk about consecutive sequences of ruby annotations), or in the earlier steps (in that they should produce inter-annotation whitespace in some situations where they currently do not)? -Boris
