Editorial

Given the explanatory text at the end of the section, it may also be 
worth adding a short paragraph to say:

"Authors should also be aware that synthesised approaches may not be 
suitable for scripts like Cyrillic, where italic forms are very 
different in shape, so it is better to select a font that has an italic 
face."
