Hi, The current ED allows negative integer values for the 'width' descriptor. This is well-defined: the number of symbols can never be less than a negative number, so such a value has no effect (like 0, as in the initial value.) However there is no use case for negative values. 0 (or auto) always does the same. I don’t care much either way but the descriptor could make negative values invalid, for consistency with the 'orphans' and 'widows' properties. -- Simon Sapin
