What exactly are you pinging about?  Your latest message, or the overall thread?

Re your latest message, we're not doing logical truncation, so it's moot.  ^_^

Re the overall thread, it seems that your proposal is solely to do
logical truncation/ellipsis when the element is set to
overflow-x(inline): hidden?
