Hi, Currently Filter Effects 1 specifies the CSS image function filter(). It takes an CSS image and a list of filter functions, applies the specified filter functions to the passed image and returns the resulting image. I would like to ask to move this function to CSS Images editors draft 4 [2] and remove it from the Filter Effects spec. Ultimately, it would move to the CSS Image spec anyway. To avoid confusion for the audience, I would like to move it to CSS Images earlier than later, but latest before Last Call. Right now the function is underspecified and I am more than happy to fill the missing gaps. For now I continue working on the definition in Filter Effects. Greetings, Dirk [1] https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/FXTF/raw-file/tip/filters/index.html#FilterCSSImageValue [2] http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css-images-4/
