By 'the first part' I assume you mean the first part of my statement ('It'd
be nice to make everyone agree on...')? I also think the different approaches
are fine though I can see how they also reflect legacy and folks might prefer
to have a simpler model i.e. a new browser vendor could decide to only support
optical zooming.
In the meantime we still need to agree on the interactions of this property
with reality.
