The CSS WG published an update of the CSS Generated Content for Paged
Media module:
http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-css3-gcpm-20111129/
The module defines a number of features used often, but not exclusively,
in print and other paged media: running headers and footers, leaders,
cross references, footnotes, page floats, etc.
Some of the features previously in this module have been moved to other
modules: hyphenation to css3-text; super-decimal numbering, symbols and
named counters to css3-lists.
Other changes include a way to align leaders right or left and a new
feature to show overflow not with a scrolling mechanism, but as
additional pages. (Instead of a scrollbar or similar, an element would
have a mechanism to display the next or previous pageful of content.)
If you have comments, please, send them to this mailing list,
<www-style@w3.org>. Please, prefix the subject line with
[css3-gcpm]
as I did on this message.
For the CSS WG,
Bert
