Yeah, good question about mixing the two pseudo-elements.  It's a bit odd to have two pseudo-elements addressing the same line, but we'd obviously have to allow it.  I think CSS3 was going to relax the restrictions on pseudo-elements always having to be on the right-hand-side, so in theory this syntax could be allowed.
