The organisers of the TypeCon conference [1] have offered to host a briefing/dialogue session with John Daggett, editor of the CSS3 Fonts Module [1], and font developers and typographically savvy web designers. This session will take place in Los Angeles on Wednesday 18 August. This is an opportunity for web standards people and browser makers -- who will be in Los Angeles for the preceding W3C Web Fonts working group meeting - to get together with the type community and review the CSS3 Fonts Module and engage in open discussion about typography on the Web. For more information, please see the relevant Typophile announcement and discussion thread: http://typophile.com/node/72477 This Typophile thread will be the central information channel for details about this event, and for those interested in attending to indicate so. For planning purposes, we need to get at least a rough count of the number of attendees ahead of time. John Hudson 1. http://www.typecon.com/ 2. http://dev.w3.org/csswg/css3-fonts/
