Ideally pixel unit in CSS should match common definition of the pixel, e.g. here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel to do not create any confusion. But as soon as that train is left the station then should postulate that 1px is a logical length unit in CSS that equals to 1/96 of the inch. And so 1px = 3/4pt. I think it makes sense to introduce "dp" or "dpx" units - "device pixels" for cases like hairline borders and other UI related tasks. -- Andrew Fedoniouk. http://terrainformatica.com
