SVG does have hyphenated keywords. Originally, it was full of them. Then, following a last call comment from the DOM working group about the undesirability of hyphens in keywords due to an interaction with scripting languages, they were all changed to camelCase. And afer that, following a last call comment from the CSS WG, the properties originally in CSS2 were changed back to hyphenated. Thats the nice thing about consistency, there are so many choices of what to be consistent with. DP> Whatever, it should be spelled the same wherever it appears in CSS. Yes, certainly. And for consistency with SVG, where the keyword was first standardized, it should be spelled currentColor. -- Chris Lilley mailto:chris@w3.org Technical Director, Interaction Domain W3C Graphics Activity Lead Co-Chair, W3C Hypertext CG
