The CSS WG decided as follows on Martijn Wargers's question[1] about
whether an included SVG element falls under the definition of "replaced
element," even though it is not "outside" the document:
- In 3.1, change "CSS formatter" (an undefined term) to "CSS
formatting model" and
replace "The rendered content of a replaced element comes
from outside the source document" with "How a replaced element's
content is rendered is not defined by this specification."

(For reference, this is issue 13 in the forthcoming "Disposition of
Comments.")
Martijn, please let us know if this does not resolve the issue.
For the CSS WG,
Bert
