The CSS WG just published a new draft of CSS Paged Media. There is a good chance that it is the last draft of this module, so this is a last call for comments. http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-css3-page-20061010 The deadline for comments is Nov 3. The module defines the basic features of paged media: page breaks, page numbers, running headers and footers. (More advanced features that are typically found on printed pages, such as columns, footnotes, leaders and cross-references, are in modules that we'll work on later.) Compared to the previous draft, "string sets" (for copying text to running headers and footers) has been moved out of this module, and the 'fit' property (several ways to deal with images whose size or aspect ratio is different from those of the box) has been moved here from the Box Module. We are not completely happy with the keywords of the 'fit' property. There is a chance that we change them still... If you sent comments, please put "[css3-page]" (without the quotes) in the subject of the message. The preferred place to send comments is this mailing list, www-style.
