The CSS Mobile Profile 1.0 has just been published as a "W3C Candidate Recommendation" (CR). My thanks to everybody who read the drafts. From the abstract: "This specification defines a subset of the Cascading Style Sheets Level 2 specification tailored to the needs and constraints of mobile devices." A CR is not a W3C Recommendation yet, but it is getting close. From the status: "All persons are encouraged to review and implement this specification and return comments to the (archived) public mailing list www-style" So: start implementing! Of course, all comments are still welcome. There will no doubt be a version 1.1 or 2.0 when mobile devices get powerful enough to implement more, such as parts of CSS3.
