possible bug found in W3C CSS Validation Service? from Tommi Lahtonen on 2001-10-04 (www-style@w3.org from October 2001)

if I have defined the following styles:

ul {
  ...
}

and

ul ul li {
	...

}

the W3C CSS Validation Service complains about redefining a style.

WDG CSS Check doesn't complain anything.

Which one is correct or is my css some how illegal?
