The separation of CSS into modules makes it easier for people to follow it's progress, develop the relative specs. Also, it makes conversation on the subject easier once you define the module/topic. Things aren't as simple as they where back on CSS1... many modules are relative to other specs like SVG. W3 is short for W3C (from what I know of at least). > -----Original Message----- > From: tech-st [mailto:tech-style@teraram.com] > Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2001 11:10 PM > To: www-style@w3.org > Subject: css3 questions and... > > > Hello > > Will CSS 3 in final be synoptic as CSS 2? > I'am asking this because I see that for now CSS 3 is > seperated it is not in > "one file" (like CSS 2 is in ZIP and...). > Does someone knows when it will be W3C's Recommendation? > > off-topic: > And can someone tell me why is there W3 and W3C? > Why is there two names, and w3.org and w3c.org? > What is wrong with W3C name? > > Thanks > >
