My understanding is that cursors are all really image files. So you can't simply change the color of an image. Though you do bring up a good point. It would be useful to have an expanded selection of cursors built into each browser and/or the ability to specify a file name for a new cursor in the style sheet that the user agent would then download. -----Original Message----- From: www-style-request@w3.org [mailto:www-style-request@w3.org]On Behalf Of perry Sent: Wednesday, January 03, 2001 1:37 AM To: www-style@w3.org Subject: Re: Cursors.......New Proposals why is it so hard to change cursor color...I would think if you can change the appearence of the cursor..(hand, crosshair, ?...and so on)..that you would be able to change the color..is there not a way to do this through css?? like <style> p.cursor-color1 {cursor-color: blue} </style> if not why, if so how...thanks.
