| Take a look at this: | http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/text.html#h-9.2.1 | especially look at DFN, ABBR and ACRONYM. It is left to the | browser-vendors to implement it. DFN indicates a defining instance. The browser should /not/ use this as a hint to link to its formal definition as the term is probably defined differently within the context of that page than in a standard dictionary.
