Thanks for the note David. Having been subscribed to many of the W3 mailing lists since the mid 90's, this is the first time anyone has said anything to me about OOF being taboo. I subscribe to 30 some XML newsgroups. It is impossible for me (in a non-ivory tower) to conduct business without notification of some sort. It would be very inconvenient for me to have to unsubscribe from 30 lists every time I am on the road - (about 50% of the time) so, since the OOF inconveniences you and others I will unsubscribe from the STYLES mailing list this week. I will look up my information on site at W3 or via digest. I assume digest does not return an OFF. You shouldn't get another OOF before I unsubscribe, since it only sends one per trip. Also, I apologize to the group for any social indiscretion. Thanks, Daniel L. Koger -----Original Message----- From: L. This can be done by any of: * getting an autoreply mechanism that does not respond to messages from lists * not using an autoreply mechanism * temporarily unsubscribing from lists and then resubscribing when you return It is very annoying for me and for others to get autoreply messages every time I post a message to a list. Thanks. David Baron
