According to the spec, width: auto on the root element means that width = the width of the viewport, thus meaning that setting margin, padding or border on the root element causes scroll bars to be needed to view the whole of the root. Clearly this is wrong, and correct is that for the purposes of the equality, the width of the containing block is the width of the viewport, and that width: auto follows as normal. ===== __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
