This workshop focuses on applications in the field of Electronic Business and their relationship to Semantic Web technologies. The aim of SWEB 2004 is to bring researches working on base technologies and infrastructure components together with the early adopters of these technologies. The workshop is colocated with the Workshop "XSW 2004 - XML Technologies for the Semantic Web" as part of the Berlin XML-Days. Invited Speaker: Guus Schreiber, Chair of the W3C Semantic Web Best Practices and Deployment Working Group Topics: In contrast to the broader scope of the workshop XSW 2004 this workshop focuses on applying Semantic Web technologies within E-Business applications: * Ontologies for E-Business * Semantic Mapping and Matching * Semantic Data Interoperability * Semantic Web Services * Processing of Semantic Annotations * Technology induced Changes of the Value Chain * Information Quality in the Semantic Web * Semantic Web Trust, Privacy, Security * Application Scenarios and Prototypes * Industrial Efforts and Experiences The workshop is supported by * InterVal - Berlin Research Center on Internet Economics * KnowledgeWeb - Realizing the Semantic Web, EU Network of Excellence Submission of Papers Only electronic submissions via our online submission system (http://www.xml-clearinghouse.de/ws/SWEB2004/submit/) will be accepted. Full papers present contributions to the mentioned topics, whereas short papers introduces current research ideas or wohk in progress. The workshop language is english. The submitted paper must not be published or be submitted elsewhere. All submissions will be reviewed by the program committee. Using the templates full papers should not exceed the limit of 12 pages and 6 pages for short papers. The submitted file must be in PDF format. Please consider the guidelines for authors of the GI series Lecture Notes in Informatics (http://www.gi-ev.de/LNI/autorenrichtlinien/index.html).
