The Object Management Group's (OMG) Ontology SIG [1] has authored a document called "Usage Scenarios and Goals For the Ontology Definition Metamodel" which has been posted to the OMG server at URL [2]. This document is intended to establish a set of usage scenarios and goals that motivate development of an Ontology Definition Metamodel (ODM) using the Meta-Object Facility (MOF) and an associated Unified Modeling Language (UML) profile for creating, managing and visualizing OWL ontologies as UML models. Your comments are encouraged. Thank you.
