Previous F2F Minutes:
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-qa-wg/2004Jun/0062.html

Minutes:

1.) roll call 11am EDT, membership

2.) routine business
        - Future telecons   (Monday 12 July)
		Every 15 days
	- Action Items
Be Careful, if you are drifting too much
we will not have time to finish.

[kd] will not review all action items from F2F.

3.) Overview of Santa Clara F2F
	- Future of the QA WG - Dom [3]
[kd] discussion with W3C management

[dh] discussed (F2F) during the AC meeting we discussed lack of
participation. During the F2F there was discussion about the future of
the WG. W3M agreed to leave the WG as is and continue the work until
the end of October; at that time, if no new members or a very strong
support from other WGs, the WG will close.

[ms] What does strong support mean?

[dh] Support from J. Carroll, from example. If other WGs think the work
we've been doing is important, we'll continue.

[ms] If no new members, but close relation to other WGs, then the WG
continues? Maybe we should energize other WGs with respect to our work.

[kd] Most important thing is to get new members. Would encourage other
W3C members to join QA WG.

[lh] Over time we've had a fair number of testimonials, recently we've
had comments from S. Lesch, D. Connolly and J. Carroll. Maybe put
together a list of such testimonials?

[minuter got dropped]

[kd] lofton's comment was that end October is unrealistic for two
document cycles, from past experience, and we do need two cycles to get
to LC-quality on SpecLite & QAH. End November is realistic for two
cycles.

[dd] agrees with Dom that the work, and not the marketing is the
important aspect.

	- Lofton activity in the QA WG
[lh] Starting week after F2F in Santa Clara, I became a regular WG
member. Formerly, I was half-time on QAWG work. Time demands are heavy
on new work that I have started. Will try to put in half day a week,
as obligated by Charter, but no guarantees. Will focus on QAH.

	- Progress on work

  4.) SpecGL
[kd] Rewrote long sentences, sent to the mailing list. Easy if you
follow the template.
D3 Principle: Address the extensibility topic inside specification. [4]

D3 Good Practice: Define error handling for unknown extensions [5]
[kd] Lynne made a comment. Do others have comments? Lynne mentioned
that it's not a principle, but a good practice, I agree.

[lh] Liked the first part, that's an improvement.

[kd] How would you like to proceed? I can leave them as is in the
mailing list or insert into the document. Thanks to Lynne for the
review.

	Future plan for publications
[kd] I propose that we decide on the first telcon of August if it's too
short or not. Acceptible?

[lh] Should be a strong gola to have new WDs before September, WDs that
are complete in the sense that we have content everywhere. Think we
have to have the first cycle finished by the end of August, even if we
don't have consensus.

[kd] Agree

  5.) QA Handbook Review
	Acquiring Test Materials [6]
[lh] Looked at and liked the contribution, no problem integrating it.

  6.) Adjourn

  7.) Overflow (12-12:30): available.
[dh] Have put TestGL topics on Wiki.
