Hello QA WG, As we discussed and informally agreed during our F2F meeting in Cannes, I've started the administrative work needed to move our WG to the W3C Patent Policy ; as described in [1], the first step is to develop a charter including the wording for the Patent Policy, which I have prepared at: http://www.w3.org/QA/WG/2004/04/charter-pp This charter differs from the current one [2] on the following points: - the Confidentiality and IPR section has been split in 2 sections which are now "Confidentiality" and "Patent disclosures" referring to the appropriate wording - the quality commitment in the "Scope and deliverables" has been amended so that it does not refer to a specific level of conformance to our guidelines ; the text now reads as "In its operations, specifications, and test materials the QAWG will comply with its own guidelines." (this is incorporated as an editorial modification, which means that whatever conformance model we choose for our own guidelines, we're still committed to target the highest level of conformance) - the W3C Staff resource commitment has been updated to reflect the changes of Activity lead Unless I hear comments against proceeding, this draft charter will be proposed to the AC Reps of QA WG participants on Monday, for a consensus-based vote as described in [1].
