Roll call 11am (ET), membership 2) Logistics Feb 17 a US Government Holiday, LH to ask by email who will not be attending. Review of Tech Plenary attendance 11 people are listed. 3.) Last Call resolutions (quick) - Intro [1], OpsGL [2], SpecGL [3] Documents [1],[2],[3] are the proposed LC text. [3] still needs a Status section. Comments are to be sent to IG list, should also link the form from the Status section. Include a mention that ExTech documents are not yet LC, but invite people to propose examples and techniques as well as to review current documents. Mechanism to added ExTech comments is to put them in the Form. Olivier to modify Form with skeletonized version with ExTech added. Resolutions: Do we agree that the WDs [1],[2], [3] be published at Last Call documents on Feb 10? Unanimous, all 3 specifications to go to LC. Should we have a moratorium on ExTech documents during LC period? This will ensure that everyone is looking at the same ExTech documents. These documents need lots of work, so if there isn’t something that is a higher priority then we should continue to work on these documents. MS not think that it is a key issue that people look at the same document. It was agreed not to have a moratorium and that the documents could change during the review period. TestGL first published draft, Dec 20. KG stated that there are at least 3 issues on TestGL. LH thinks we should put a notice to the IG and WG about the comment period to get more comments on the document. Action Item: LR comment period closes on March 3. 4. Introductions since Patrick joined late due to technical problems with Zakim. 5.) Outreach kit and Boston - Karl's contribution [4] - other discussion/contributions... any? - other refs (e.g., Quick tips [5]) - make specific assignments and schedules - other talks (Cannes, Proj Review, AC mtg) LH sent email [6], identifying things that we should talk about to move this forward so that we have a partial kit ready for Boston’s outreach effort. Approximately 12 groups will be visited in Boston. a) Who will put together a kit for use in Boston? Need someone to take ownership and lead the team to put this together and ensure something is put together in 4 weeks. KD doing this would help understand what we do. We need some fresh ideas. Volunteer? PC recaps our objective that is to put together some material to summarize what we are doing and help to convince others that doing QA would be good. KD most of the information already exists; it is a matter of putting it together to convince people. PC volunteers. Team is LH, OT, KD, DH, DM and input from everyone else. b) Goals and audience for this information is the WG as a whole. It also covers a broad range of experience those just starting out as well as those WGs that have been around for awhile. We need to include information for the novice as well as for those more experienced. Our only slot on the Tech Plenary agenda is a joint discussion on Glossary. DM do we want to encourage discussion among the members outside the WGs? LR suggests talking to people during breaks to stimulate discussions. Doing this informally, soliciting information and encouraging their ideas.
