QAWG -- The chairs/staff and editors have conferred about out plan to seek CR on all parts -- Intro, OpsGL, and SpecGL -- before Crete. We are unanimous that it is unattainable. Here is the proposed modification: 1.) Intro publish as "Note" henceforth (coordinated with the GL); 2.) OpsGL progress to CR before Crete; 3.) SpecGL progress to 2nd Last Call, hopefully before Crete; About #1: Intro has ZERO conformance requirements, hence CR makes little sense (nor ..PR..Rec). About #3: we think the magnitude of changes to SpecGL necessitates a 2nd LC (the changes between LC-CR are supposed to be small); About #2: this is our *goal*, and we think it is attainable if we keep the OpsGL changes "small-ish", and are able to close all issues by mid-May. Both appear possible. The risks are: a.) we don't get the issue resolution done in time; b.) the magnitude of the changes is too big; c.) LH can't get the editing done. In any variations of our plan, it is our goal to prevent OpsGL/SpecGL from spilling over and demanding much of our time at Crete. We think this is achievable -- if we miss the schedules, then by Crete we should in any case be in phases of "procedure" (e.g., CR request telecon), and possibly some left-over spec editing. Those should not need significant f2f time. Comments? Regards, -Lofton.
