I have some sympathy with that.  But I think it would be better if such 
people emailed to us, rather than submitting by form, for the reasons I 
mentioned earlier:  the form generates all of this email traffic 
(submitter, IG list, me) that might be confused with a commitment to 
respond to late comments (*very* late -- LC review period started over two 
months ago, and has been closed for a month).

Yes.  But it's interesting that the comments are not all from "the usual 
suspects".  They have come from DIWG, XML Schema, Comm (Susan Lesch), 
Gunderson (WAI), Ian Jacobs, WSD WG, etc.
