Thanks for pointing this out.
The same happens to me in IE5.5. It is a bug in IE. The versions I posted
yesterday had XML comments between the XML declaration and the
DOCTYPE. This is valid XML, and the docs validated as XHTML. When I
remove these comments, the IE displays it as (X)HTML.
Even though it is IE bug, I updated the copies, for convenience of those
who use IE as their default browser.
